These terms govern your use of the SwapBins platform at www.swapbins.com. By creating an account or using the platform you agree to them. If you do not agree, do not use SwapBins.
SwapBins is a facilitator. We provide a venue for members to list swimming and diving equipment and accessories, discover one another, and message to arrange a swap or sale. SwapBins is not a party to any transaction, does not take custody of items, and does not handle payment between members. Any swap, sale or exchange is solely between the members involved.
Every transaction arranged through SwapBins is a direct agreement between the two members involved. SwapBins does not inspect, test, authenticate, clean, service, store, insure or deliver any item, and does not act as a buyer, seller, agent or escrow for either side.
The condition of an item, and any fault, is a matter between the members. The member passing on an item is responsible for describing it accurately — including any wear, damage, defect or service history — and the member receiving it is responsible for inspecting it before the deal is marked complete. SwapBins does not verify that any item is genuine, functional, safe, or fit for a particular purpose.
When each member marks a deal complete, they confirm that the transaction is between the two members under these terms and that SwapBins is not responsible for the item or for anything that happens after the handover — including a fault found later, a disagreement about condition, or any loss, injury or damage arising from the item or its use. Members must resolve any such issue directly with one another. SwapBins may share information to help at its discretion, but is under no obligation to mediate, reverse a transaction, refund, or compensate.
You must be at least 18 years old to use SwapBins. You are responsible for the accuracy of your account details and for keeping your login secure. You may not transfer or sell your account, or create an account on behalf of someone else.
Describe items accurately, own or have the right to pass on anything you list, and keep communication and arrangements on-platform. Meet in safe, public places or at a SwapBins Center. You are responsible for complying with all applicable laws when you list, hand over or receive an item.
You may not list, swap or request anything on the Prohibited & Restricted Items list, which includes alcohol, vapes, drugs, weapons, hazardous goods, counterfeits, medicines, and digital accounts. Listings are screened automatically and may also be reviewed after publication.
While SwapBins is in beta, life-support diving equipment — regulators, BCDs, cylinders and similar — may not be listed for diving use. Such items may only be listed if they are clearly marked in the description as display or parts only, not for diving. You are responsible for the safety and service history of any equipment you pass on.
You keep ownership of the photos, videos and text you upload, and you grant SwapBins a licence to host, display and distribute that content for the purpose of operating and promoting the platform. Do not post content that is unlawful, infringing, misleading, or that reveals another person’s private information.
SwapBins is provided “as is”. We do not guarantee the quality, safety, legality or accuracy of any listing or member. To the fullest extent permitted by law, SwapBins is not liable for any loss or damage arising from a swap, a member interaction, or your use of the platform.
We may remove a listing, restrict features, or suspend or close an account at any time — with or without notice — if we believe these terms or the item policy have been breached, or to protect members or the platform.
We may update these terms at any time without prior notice. The current version is always the one published on this page. Your continued use of SwapBins after a change means you accept the updated terms.
These terms are governed by the laws of Singapore, and the courts of Singapore have exclusive jurisdiction over any dispute.
